Nothing new to see here! I took the picture Richie posted back in March maybe February thinking about it over here in Australia.

Jared was doing the same endure bike with Boxxers, see pic below

Transfer Rumors confirmed by Swiss Bike Magazine.

Loris Vergier to Syndicate along with Luca Shaw.
Troy Brosnan to Canyon Factory Team
Dany Hart to Trek Werksteam and not Factory Team.
Sam Blenki maybe to Speci with Loic
Manon Carpenter to Radon Factory Team, Carina Capellaris contract is over.

Heres the News(if you speak German)
http://www.ride.ch/news/transfergeruechte-im-mountainbike-rennsport-ex-stoecklis-wohl-unter-dach-und-fach-downhill-karussel

This is bullshit! People! First and foremost, ”Gerücht” means in German ”rumour”, so those dudes are doing exactly what we are doing here, only they added some nice pictures and presented it as an ”article”. You should not be surprised if their ”sources” are exactly in this thread. It happened before.

And, for chrissakes, ”Werksteam” is the German term for ”factory team”, so that means that the current factory team, the Athertons, would open up a spot for one of Gee's main rivals, which is Danny. That the logical translation, not the German to English one.

One quick question, parnifel: did you even bother to translate this stuff? I mean, like, properly.

Anyway, that's pretty much what they're saying.

Cheers,
Mx

Maybe you^re not reading my my post properly..confirmd rumours by Swiss Bike Mag, not by me.
Don¨t take this so seriously, ist not like you're getting transferred to another Team.

And no, as a German, English, French and Italian speaking Person(here in Swizerland we have 4 national languages), "Werks" does not mean Factory in German.

I assume that a Werksteam will be built up like the Unior or SRAM TLD Team, they have certain Sponsors and are able to choose a Frame from which brand they may..(Unior = TREK, SRAM TLD = Santa Cruz)
Danny has FOX, DT Swiss, Bell and Alpinestars...maybe he'll just get another Frame Sponsor, but this is also pure speculation.
These Racing Rumors make it interesting for everyone, thats the whole Point..so don't go getting disruntled by this.

What? Werksteam = Factory Team
Werk = Factory, Team = Team and the "s" is in there for the fun of it.

This one is a bit more serious...

BTW, a works team in motorsport means an official factory team.

Audi's Le Mans effort was a factory effort, but trackside operation was handled by the Joest racing team in an official manner. Same goes for Toyota and the Oreca team, Mercedes F1 engines are developed in the UK by the High Performance Engines division , a different division (ex. Honds/Brawn team) handles chassis and aero development, etc. All are still factory teams. Or works teams.

The Syndicate stuff i think is all but confirmed, as is the Manon to Radon rumour.

Brosnan to Canyon i think will happen, plus another two riders if they're looking to make a splash with the new bike (possibly Macdonald and a female?)

Hart to Trek just seems so unlikely, especially with the amount of budget they have dropped on the Athertons, Harts demands (and he will have them, savvy little businessman he is) would lead anyone to believe its a one or the other situation, if its even true... which i doubt.

Blenki to Specialized- possibly but i doubt it, If Norco have another marquee rider lined up who could get some podiums with the new DH rig then it wouldnt make sense to keep Blenki, however, part of Blenki's draw from a manufacturers perspective is that he does pretty well at both WC and Enduro races, with Norco bringing out a new Range you'd have to think that keeping a guy who can market both would be a pretty good idea.

Was just thinking about ratboy . If he was retiring he would just come out and say so at the end of the season . Why would he wait ? What for ?
I think it's just a ploy and he's going to a new team . Either a peaty led team or to intense with palmer .
The syndicate hasn't seemed as together this season as in the past . 'Maybe there were some tensions in the build up to whatever is coming .

I think we all already know that Loris won't be in the Team anymore for 2017.

There's usually an embargo on announcements until the contract expires. He's probably under contract until the end of the year.

Even so, he's not going to disappear from the scene all together. He still has lots of fans and followers so he'll still have sponsors. I imagine Santa Cruz will continue to supply him with bikes considering their history. Like somebody mentioned, he wants to keep plugging his clothing line by releasing homemade 'edits' for the kids. The sponsors will still want to be a part of it, at least in the short term.

And when they aren't, he'll start racing world cups again :-)

I'd hazard a guess that Minaar confirming is a build up to announcing the full Syndicate team .

Laurie Greenland is running Saint cranks in his instagram story compared to XO last year. Change to shimano for Mondraker this year?

|

11/18/2016 10:57 AM

That would be logical, them running FOX suspension and all.

So Brook...

Its been mentioned he had been posting with gt and sombrio tags until November started. I've just noticed he also hasn't tagged them since and has posted pics of him riding for Trek WR and MS, which he was doing none of before since he started with GT.....

Saint brakes too! Aswell as Bontrager Tires and wheels... looks a bit like he used some parts from back in the day when he was with Trek

Brosnan has been pretty low key on social media lately. Moto's and dog shots mostly. Same as Bulldog.
