I am going to take a walk on the crazy side with no facts to back up this theory and say the rider not racing world cups this year is Aaron Gwin. Maybe he is not thrilled with the last few seasons, has an opportunity knocking in motorcross this year and wants to sit out some of the politics/restructuring that is going down at the big S. Heck they might even be looking to cut costs so much that they cut a deal to end his contract early. He might even get just enough of a deal to make an attempt at focusing only on World Champs while sitting out the World Cups. Don't forget the history of Specialized in DH. They can all of a sudden disappear from the scene entirely for a few years with little notice.
I really would have to say that is one of the most stupid things I have heard. What motocross would Gwin be competitive in? Maybe local races but if you are thinking national rounds you would have to be joking. I know he came from a background in moto also.
Very sad news about cam cole as well. Was a favorite of mine.
"It’s a bit of a different kind of year for us with more of a domestic approach, but Bryn and I are looking forward to projects with sponsors, picking and choosing our events, and having some time to be creative. The plan is to own our back yard and really have a good impact in North america and Key international events, while Bryn focuses more with filming and camps, and the races he wants to do.
For me, coming off 5th at Worlds and a few World Cup podiums, I didn’t expect Norco to hire a new World Cup program, but it’s part of the business, and I am happy for them. It is exciting to have some time to work smarter and more effectively on our business and strategy moving forward.
My schedule covers DH, Slalom, and some enduro racing. This includes a couple World cup rounds that I enjoy (Ft.Bill and Leogang), Worlds, Crankworx bc and NZ, Sea Otter, most of the Pro Grt series, US open, Colorado freeride festival, EWS colorado, some enduros, Kamakazi games, and skills camps at Stevens Pass with Bryn.
Norco bikes are awesome, as we helped develop them
, so our goals are to ride the best carbon bikes out there, keep our relationships with the sponsors and people that have supported us for years, race and win events, make creative content, and give back to the community.
Having run our Team program from the ground up for several years, Bryn and I have a lot of skills in the bike business that will serve us well. We will be everywhere, except Europe 400 times in one season
North American racing is gonna be really good this year with the Pro GRT series making big gains, so I want to be a part of that, ride fast, and continue to make a difference in the MTB world and beyond.
KTM is the main factory bike sponsor for the Troy Lee Designs team (Team TLD/KTM). They might have just hooked him up with some of their new team threads.

And also goes from RS to Fox suspension from what I can see, although maintains some SRAM components.
Mondraker team will be: Danny Hart, Markus Pekoll, Innes Graham and Emmeline Ragot from what I read on another forum.

you sure about the suspension set up? It looks like they are still on marzocchi.
The crown does look like a 40 but the stanctions on a new 888 are almost the same color and the picture is not really hi res.
Besides, they spent October testing with Marzocchi in Austria.
Danny Hart signs with Mondraker, new carbon frame for next year.

The team consists of Sam Blenkinsop, Harry Heath, Jack Iles, Magnus Manson and Team Owner/Manager Todd Schumlick of PerformX Racing. Norco Factory Racing athletes will compete in the 2015 UCI World Cup downhill circuit and select major events around the world.
"We're committed to designing world class bikes in all categories, and with our Norco Race Development (NRD) downhill program, we are truly excited to work alongside such an elite group of world-class athletes - we welcome them to the Norco Bicycles family," says Norco Marketing Manager Chris Cook. New Zealand native Sam Blenkinsop comes off a personal best season in 2014, where he finished 5th overall in UCI world rankings. Canadian Jack Iles will be moving up to the World Cup's pro classification in 2015, while countryman Magnus Manson will be testing himself against the best juniors on the World Cup circuit. Together, the team offers up a potent blend of experience, passion, drive and blistering speed.
"The guys could not be more excited to be joining the Norco family," says Team Owner/Manager Todd Schumlick. "This partnership is based on the alignment of the riders' needs with the objectives of a local, proudly Canadian brand. Norco makes a DH bike that these guys want to ride because they know it will enable them to compete with the best in the world. We're all excited to have the opportunity to grow and win together."
