Hey guys, I'm just wondering what kind of training you guys do for dirtjumping.

I mean, as a 17 year old, I'm a bit heavy, however with a 6' frame its kind of hard to stay light, currently at 186 pounds and trying to drop quick, but having a hard time with my frame at the powdercoater.

My question is, what's your weight, skill level, and how do you stay fit for riding? What should my target be? I need to lose my flab, but then which areas should I focus on, as Im starting to learn spins.

Also, supplements?

Well you're never going to fit into chick jeans as it stands so I can understand your concerns. I'd suggest a Curves membership and dating a 5'2" chick who weighs 98lbs so you can keep checking on your progress by trying on her clothes.

Hmmm. Already have an amazing girlfriend, 5'4" but not 98 lbs. Hmm. Maybe I should bench press some mexicans.

I try and mix it up a bit. I usually run 3-5 miles before going to work, I hit the gym on my lunch hour for weights and I have a fixed gear bike that I commute on and use for going to the grocery store or whatever. In the winter I bring out the shovel too. I ride DJ's maybe 2-3 times a week and some sort of trail ride once a week.

i dont think there is such thing as fitness training for dirtjumping haha, if your really worried about needing to lose weight or slim down or whatever for riding, then diet, get on some running and xc or something

Yeah, im looking into a short travel SS dual suspension rig for some trail riding, cant afford a frame for $1400 though.

honestly- (and I am old compared to many here probably)-- it comes down to diet! eat well-- lean meats, fruits, lots of veggies and stay away from too much grains and breads.

Do like 12 laps, rest, Another 12 and repeat,
go until your arms give out on one of the berms and you endo over your bars.
Thats my work out for the day.

i concentrate on dirt jumping but getting involved in a different type of riding has put me into great shape. try out an XC bike or even a road bike
