Just wondering if you know if bushing (reducers as I think they are sometimes called) can be used from Fox Shox to Rock Shox or Cane Creek?
I currently have a DHX 5.0 and want to get a Rock Shox Vivid or a Double Barrell but I'm just not sure if the bushing will fit between the two shocks.

I'm pretty sure that the bushings they use are one of the few international standards that hasn't changed for years. If you mean the bushings that are press fit into the shock body that is. The bits that press into that from both sides and accept the bolt can vary widely between frames. Typically the bushings in the shock are not reused as they're cheep and good to keep fresh. Your new shock should come with fresh ones.

1/2 inch diameter frame hardware (aka reducers) is cross-compatible with Cane Creek, Fox, and newer Manitou stuff for sure. Pretty certain Rock Shox is as well.
