Thank you, Brandon Turman 45
After 10 years of faithful, bike-smashing content creation, Brandon Turman is on to a new chapter in his life. Vital MTB would not be what it is without *Butters,* and we're going to miss his hoots and hollers, flying the flag for Vital on the trail.

Brandon Turman has been the lead product tester and technical editor at Vital MTB for 10 years. Throughout his time with us, he developed the gold-standard for mountain bike reviews with his engineering background, attention to detail, fun, enthusiastic energy, and most importantly, his incredible riding skills. Brandon helped Vital MTB raise the bar through his review process, his friendly persona, and the ability to adapt to any challenge that arose. The mountain bike industry took note of Brandon's work, and we believe the mountain bikes we ride today are as rad as they are because of Brandon's honest, uncompromising testing and reporting.
We were sad to hear Brandon was ready to take a break and move on to a new chapter in his life where bikes could be all about fun and less about work. Though we're sad, we're also excited to see what Brandon will do in the future. Anything he puts his mind to will get 100-percent focus. We are honored to have him as part Vital's family history. We also know that every mountain bike on the planet is rejoicing because now they won't be subject to a flogging from Brandon.
Brandon, we can't wait to get out on the trail with you, not having to worry about a bike or product to test for the world to see, as you smash rocks and hoot and holler your way down the mountain.
From everyone at Vital MTB and Vital Media Network, thank you.

Thank you dude!!!
always enjoyed your insight and reviews.
you always had some extra piece of information the other sites were missing.
one of the reasons I checked Vital reviews first was because if you.
it seems like you always kept it real, you were the first one to call Yeti with their sb150 flex when it came out.
best of luck!
Cheers, guys. Truly honored by all the support and kind words from the MTB community. 🤜
It's been an incredible decade covering the scene and testing bikes for the world to see. Thanks to everyone that aided the efforts and tuned into the many features Vital and I created over the years. It takes a team, and Vital's is among the most dedicated out there.
Yay bikes!
In case it wasn't obvious from my first comment, I tip my hat to you, dude! Much Love from Romania! In case you ever take a trip over here, holler and you get free housing, food and guiding, plus the sight of a shitload of old bikes and parts that struggle to become a museum. Spomer must have my e-mail, just in case, offer applies to him or any other VitalMTB staff member too.
Thanks VitalMTB for what you are doing for the community! This feature and its comment section are yet another proof why this sport is so fucking great. Chapeau!
it was a pleasure to meet and talk with you acouple of times over the years and i wish you the best in your new beginings

My latest bike purchase was heavily influenced by Brandon’s review. I’ve always looked forward to his take more than other site. Good luck on the next phase in life. Your thoughtful and thorough insights will be missed!
Thanks for your work. Happy I ran into you few times.
Let me know if you make it to Sedona this winter 👍
Good luck for what s next. I just did the same sort of move a month ago!
Vital has always prioritized the quality over the quantity of its site's content. Always appreciated that, so thanks for being a part of it. Best of luck to you and to the future of Vital
Thanks Brandon for the excellent content over last decade (damn time flies). God speed as you ride off into the sunset
I remember taking Brandon straight to one of the steepest DH trails in town with a really intimidating drop in for his day of testing the original Sentinel and SBG Patrol. Brand new bikes never ridden... He cruised down the road a hundred feet to try and bed the brake pads in. After that... game on! Pretty rad to be able to take a "media guy" on that kind lap over and over. Such a fun day riding and testing.
Always fun hopping on new bikes and going for it. Luckily I was in good company and on a few solid rigs that day! You Bellingham cats go hard. I like that. Cheers, Sam.
