WINNER ANNOUNCED - DT Swiss #livetoridemtb Photo Contest 2

We are proud to announce a winner in the DT Swiss / Vital MTB #livetoridemtb Instagram photo contest. It was not easy to make a selection out of over 1700 entrants, but after a good, long look we kept coming back to the photo below by Instagrammer and MTBer, workingoutinjeans.

There is a certain ethereal nature to the photograph that resonated with us as a lone rider descends into the dark woods. It's a feeling we know well and is one we often try to achieve on our rides. A feeling of solitude in nature with the opportunity for some sick riding ahead . We also appreciate the noisy, grainy, blown-out quality of the image. This is not a pro-looking image with perfect technical merit. Combine that lo-fi feel with the vintage filter and border, and we felt the photo represented exactly the kind of entry we were looking for in an Instagram contest...something spontaneous, something natural and not set up to win a contest.
