We ran into two of enduro racing's finest at the 2016 Giant Factory Off-Road team intro. Yoann Barelli and Adam Craig attack the trails and life with different styles, but both get the heavy lifting done. We put their bikes head-to-head for you to choose which you prefer.

Yoann Barelli's Giant Reign Advanced 27.5 5.0

  • 6.3-inches of travel
  • RockShox Lyrik fork
  • RockShox Vivid Rear Shock, coil
  • 34t chainring with his SRAM XX1 1x setup
  • Brake levers basically parallel to the ground (no, it's not a joke)
  • 200mm front rotor with 180mm rear
  • SRAM Rail 50 wheelset
  • Shorter 40mm Truvativ Holzfeller stem
  • Schwalbe Magic Mary front tire and Nobby Nic rear

Adam Craig's Giant Trance Advanced 27.5 5.0

  • 5.5-inches of travel
  • RockShox Pike fork
  • RockShox Monarch Plus DebonAir rear shock
  • 34t chainring with his SRAM XX1 1x setup
  • Brake levers a little more "normal" but Adam is keen on Yoann's positioning and his levers are getting pretty close to parallel to the ground.
  • 180mm front and rear rotors
  • SRAM Roam 50 wheelset
  • "I like a high front end," AC says, hence the spacers under the stem.
  • Longer 50mm Truvativ Holzfeller stem
  • Schwalbe Magic Mary front tire and Hans Dampf rear
