Good for the sport that there is a decent location for the athletes to qualify at, not just a slopestyle jump course. Rampage is no joke and athletes who have no business there should be weeded out for safety and the goodness of the event. I've seen top slopestyle riders WANT/TRY to ride there but Rampage is just not the place to learn on. They need experience prior and should have to prove it to the promoter and fellow athletes. No one wants to see anyone get injured on live TV for glory. Rampage can make or break a career, we've seen it happen both ways. Let's not make this event a freak show but a demonstration of skill and creativity on a bike while going big.

Holy shit, Steve. No country for old men.

Peaty is obviously riding that bike to the very edge of its capability - truly impressive. And holy sh@t how far did Loris fly on that first jump!!!!

I'm sure Loris was like "WTF!" at the bridge when he looked back. Peaty probably had a pint of Stella there while Loris looked for something wrong on his bike. BTW, it looks like the Fox suspension on Steve's bike passed the test.

we may or may not have intel that says loris tried his hardest to drop the old man and couldn't.

They got fired. Rachel didn't show up to a regional event she was co-hosting with Hope, they then later found out she skipped out to go riding with her brothers so Hope terminated them.

Trails looks hard and technical I like it a lot. Nice images, riders are working hard, nice to see diferent riding styles and lines.

Thanks for sharing Vital. I don't own an e-bike and don't really plan on owning one in the near future, but I would love a day out at Mammoth tooling around on one this capable. I'll have to plan in a demo/rental day on my next trip up there.

I love it.... no problem with using a chairlift to get up Mammoth, but as soon as people want to use e-bikes on e-bike approved trails people lose their goddamned minds. Nothing like people telling other people how they should be able to enjoy their own mountain bike experience on land where it is ok to do so. Way to embrace personal freedom everyone. Well done.
Also, when arguing against this point, please try not to use slippery slope fallacies, missing the point fallacies, and false cause fallacies because that's all anti-ebike people seem to use.

I really miss the Media Squids World Champs, can that be brought back please?

Marin bikes are definitely an awesome value and quality brand. I am really picky when it comes to small details and I inspect everything more than the average customer. The Rift Zone 1 that I had was flawless. Even if it was the lowest end model, the frame had spot-on tolerances, was straight as an arrow, had a super nice two-color paint, was well greased and assembled...I could go on.
Honestly, it would have been impressive at any price, but the fact that the complete bike was selling for the price of an alloy frame without shock made it even better. I had a blast on every ride with that bike, and since I wanted a bike with more travel, it's now in the hands of a good friend who just started to ride again after a few years' hiatus. Needless to say, he's just as impressed as I was and he loves it.
Thanks to Marin for putting so much value, quality and care in your bikes, it is really appreciated!
