A process called Vapor Blasting. Found a shop near by that uses vapor blasting on auto and motor bike parts. reasonable price to right at $105 for the rear link, 2 brake mounts, and the fork triple clamps. I tried the diy stripping process on some spare test parts and it’s such a time intensive/pain of a process and the finish product was variable. the canoe blasting looks so good and more of a raw aluminum look vs chrome/polished.  With the rear link i put some old bearings in there and put the bolt through and a washer and nut from home depot on the backside to protect the tolerance of where the bearings are set.

I just put that handlebar on my carbon tr11 yesterday.  Now because of this bike I’m gonna need to buy the seatpost.
