I would summarize my time on Flight Attendant as not "solving" the problem of inefficiency climbing but "improving" pedaling efficiency which led to a more enjoyable experience on the climbs. What cons do you see with the price, weight and 'fiddle factor'? And good news is mechanical lockout systems are still an option and will continue to be for a while. You'd probably love the elegance of Scott's new Spark cockpit setup, convenient lockouts for days!
