"Integrated Storage" aside, it looks like a phenomenal bike at great price points. Kudos to GT for having their highest-end model top out at 6k.

It's almost like they're completely different companies with marketing tailored to different audiences and price brackets. Weird.

Pivot is pricing out a large portion of the market by not being able to provide a sub $6k complete option. The “Race” kit from pivot at $6k comes with a mostly SLX drivetrain, SLX brakes and Performance level suspension. other complete bikes with a build level like this are $1k-$2k cheaper. The force pro comes with mostly GX drive train, top level brakes, and RS ultimate suspension but a goofy dropper. Opinions about sram vs shimano aside, I don’t think that’s “extremely” comparable. Maybe “slightly” comparable.

To compare component brand specific completes, the firebird “race X01” is $700 more than the force pro, still has performance fox, mostly GX drivetrain and R level codes.

To compare “high end” and “low end” as you put it, pivot only offers 2 builds UNDER $7k. The firebird AXS sans carbon wheels, is over $11k. A $6k force pro customer can get an AXS shifter, derailleur, and dropper for $2k. Which puts it at the same price as firebird pro X01 cable/transfer for $8200

If there is someone out there complaining that GT didn’t offer a $10k build option with Live valve, let’s hear it.

Being nice to the employees at your friendly local bike shops! They can't speed up overseas raw materials production, adjust the value of national currencies or prevent cargo ships from sinking, so, even though it's a bummer the bike service queue is 3 weeks long or your new bike won't be in for a month, let them know you appreciate what they do for our communities!

That would mean the world to a lot of us... We can only work with ETAs given to us by the suppliers.. And that info seems to change on the daily.. We really would rather have you out riding..
