the Reason they say to go 1-2mm wider is because if the rim has a deep channel in it then the tape looses 1-2mm when pushed into the channel and almost all rims now have a pretty deep well/channel

I am Running SRAM GX 7 Speed for my DH rig but although im not sure, I do think that washer will work with the sram one too.

what does the hole you cut in the tape to install the valve look like? does the valve have a nice rubber foot thats sealing well in the valve hole? it may be getting inside the rim from there and going out the rim other places.

Summit wants to open as soon as possible BUT, they are currently fighting with local government regulations. hopefully with things opening back up a restrictions being lifted it will help theyre case but only time will tell!
