Nice ride!
I still prefer the silhouette from their proto without the seat tube belly but maybe the insertion was poor.
How does rear end stiffness feel, I'm curious?

Axle-To-Crown is more important when it comes to geometry. Öhlins forks tend to have a high ATC, for instance the RXF36 160mm ATC is =580mm while the Lyrik 170mm ATC =582mm.
I also like to have balanced travel F & R...

Simply because this build was made from the bucks I had after selling my previous Genius frame kit.
I kept what was working or was light/strong enough and bought the rest without burning the budget.
X01 drivetrain had no issues while the AXS dropper doesn't exist in 200mm. The Transfer is trouble-free and without a battery to recharge.

I can't really notice something in the diameter difference but the quality of the bearings does. Sram bearings are slowing the pulleys like hell and these Garbaruk roll so much better...

I posted it right after the article about 7 Privateer owners Q&A
Also Vital posted a story about a Privateer project so I guess they have covered enough Privateers for the moment haha

That's endless debate, front and rear tires don't need to work the same way...
It performed well on the front this season and is still in perfect shape compared to the DD at the back, I weight 75kg and the tracks in Portes du Soleil are not that rocky

[EDIT : in answer to the wrong number '2kg' that was mentioned above, not to compare the build to another.]

Danger Holm' Gambler is sub 14kg.
I did build one XL with Öhlins at 15.3kg, wonder how much it would weight with a dropper and an Eagle cassette tho

They are custom, you have to message them to get a pricing according to what you want.

Scott Gambler Tuned 2020

I think it's real, mine ended at 15.3kg, XL, 29", DH38 + TTX Coil.

I would have kept the Syncros fender tho, these wrapped plastic shits are hideous :[

depends how tall you are... would be dumb to run a short bike just for a proper bb height with 27.5

After enough days in different places and settings barely moving now I can tell what I came up with :

Bodyweight 75kg / typical terrain -> Morgins
Stock tuned DH38 & TTX Coil
*clicks from closed except HSC*

DH38
Pos chamber 100psi
Ramp chamber 220psi
HSC 0 on 4
LSC 1
Rebound 10

TTX Coil
Rate 480
HSC 0 on 3
LSC 5
Rebound 3

The bike is so light that you need to open the HSC to let it dive fast enough over the roots but you end up to the extreme setting and can't open it further to play around.
On the opposite, I felt the LSC on the fork to be not restrictive enough, I'm here on the other extreme again and can't get it more closed.
SAGs are perfect, but I may close the fork HSC 1 more step for steeper tracks like Champery.

Hummel's "back-out" protection

I don't know what's better, tighten your screws more often or grinding your linkage til failure.

Cool podcast!

I also don't work with mood boards or whatever to design bikes trying to stay away as much as possible from what has been done.

In parallel, Design is not something acquired by everyone, I always feel a bit frustrated when someone tells this bike looks like another because they can't look sharp or close enough to see the differences.
You take a Session and a Gambler for instance, yeah they do look close but because of the layout, everything esle is treated in a different way : volumes, proportions, lines, surface treatment, color, typography, graphics, integration, cognitive design, maintenance...

Like in the description, 84N 480 and I'm 75kg.
Compression range seems good for now with stock tune but I'm quite on the closed side on the rebound, this would be my first tune if I do one.

Thx!
There's no rule to follow, your riding style, the terrain, and your weight will drive most of your setup.
At the date of this comment, no lifts are open yet so I don't have the perfect setup to suit me.

Never tried Cushcore yet for the simple reason that they're too heavy to be considered in my opinion. I started with HuckNorris, lightest out there but not the most durable. They last only half a season...
Seeking for lightweight options lasting a bit longer that's when I discovered these Rimpacts.
I haven't ridden the bike yet, I could only give full feedback after this whole summer I guess.
