She still has her Austrian Personalausweis (national ID card). Just less questions at customs, best of both worlds.

It's to allow her to fly in and out of Munich, Germany more easily.

Is that Loic's mechanic, Jack?

Loris has the same on his bike, including an XT shifter. Saint has Shimano's "M8" designation, which is XT level. It might have something to do with that.

This was in his and the Syndicate's Insta stories. He switched back to a standard (read: shorter) 29 rear end to get more maneuverability in the tight corners.

Really hoping there's a well thought out, screwed on fender option in the works, rather than sticking with zip ties like in the pic. I like the Syncros version, but it could still be better. Fingers crossed.

But that would mean a pretty huge revenue loss for the team though since (apparently) Öhlins doesn't pay teams to use their products. Teams that officially run SRAM are required to run Rock Shox, so you wouldn't any of these teams do this because they ... more »

During Tahnee's race run, Warner mentioned that Transition might not be the brand that FMD goes with next year...

Pretty sure Vali signed a 10-year contract with YT when she was 12, but I'll confirm.

At some point she did stop riding a Juliana and switch to a "normally" branded Santa Cruz V10, and she is often in the Syndicate pits. Could be a thing.

Reply to Why Do So Many People Think the New Enduro Looks Like a Nomad? 8/18/2019 10:41 AM

@sspomer - mainly because people are lazy and when they see a small resemblance (which to be honest, the front triangle does have a bit) they say the whole thing was copied. Haters jumping on the fact the Specialized shock goes through a tunnel above

This is something that DH racers have been doing for a while. If you look back to Peaty's cow themed V10, he used a full-XTR front brake paired with a full-Saint rear brake. Last year when he won Andorra, Loris used XTR carbon levers paired with Saint ... more »

This new Kenda tire has more or less the same repeating side knobs, whereas the side knobs of the Aquila had alternating ... more »

I think they are two totally different instances though. For starters, E13 have had known quality problems with certain cranks, whereas Santa Cruz did not have a known issue with V10s snapping (although I'm sure it can happen, as with anything). Secondly, ... more »

Agreed- changing "my mechanic" to "we" would have made a lot of this fiasco (if not all of it) not a fiasco. Much of people's anger arose from this part of his post. When we communicate through mediums where we only have text, choosing the correct words ... more »

They are investing a metric butt load of cash into their venue... let's hope it includes a new DH track.

I can totally see the main gunz using this to get a feel for the course prior to the actual World Cup. No point giving 100% only to risk injuring yourself before the main event.
