Agree, completely different rubber ! WE Magix X is a sticky but really hard base layer... DH34/DH22 are softer & stickier, and wear better (I do not see the know tore off like WE magix)..
agree on ROckR2.. these are fantastic rear tires for mostly all but, sticky mud/dirt IMO, you would love the magix for wet rocks.. have not used them in the front.. smallish volume helps with low weight for how sturdy they are.. I pair them with wild ... more »
If a tire get s in your head before you try them you might misjudge it (its 1300grs , super sticky , its gonna be bad, cannot possibly pedal good etc)..wild enduros pedal as good as a DHRII DD maxterra... and IMO a DH34 without insert it's right there ... more »

I think within a range, stiffness is a personal preference, and some riders prefer and benefit from it (or the lack) depending on the riding style they have.. if you go too flexy, it might bot be fast enough, comfy but momentum is absorbed somehow.. ... more »

I am inclined to think these tires do not benefit too much from cuschcore (compliant/rebound/traction benefit), but if you want it for the rim protection aspect, go ahead. I think other ires benefit a lot (and need more) from cushcore, like Wild Enduros ... more »
they dont need to spend too much in the advertising machine.. they sell by the dozen this side of the pond (Europe)...ok ok,, not as maxxis schwalbe, but a lot more (10 fold) than in Merica
