Yup, we acknowledged and applauded Devinci for putting proper tires on the Spartan HP. It didn't keep us from smoking the rear rim before the test started though...

Much of the Spartan HP's weight is in the frame, which we are pretty sure will outlive us all.

In my opinion, the Trunnion mount is totally unnecessary in this frame's shape since it has enough room for a water bottle and a lower top tube for smaller sizes. A 230x65mm shock would have been perfect in there, but I guess as long as the frame is straight it shouldn't be too bad. Gorgeous bike though! Hopefully they'll make an aluminium version at some point.

It absolutely does, which is sick! The jump in the photo of this article is about 25+ feet long and takes some serious wind-up to hit. Our testers didn't have an issue at all. Same goes for some of the drops we got into. While the Gnarvana is somewhat linear, it won't rob you completely of pop or bottom out harshly.

Thanks! Travel is 140 rear and I’ve designed this one for a 150mm 29er fork. Geometry on this (because it’s mine) is slack and short….62° HA, 430mm reach, 430mm chainstay. They’ll be custom front triangle geometry once I have everything dialled.

without the seatstay pivot the rear triangle will bind under suspension travel. Some 100mm travel bikes can get away with relying on the flex of material used but I don't think 210mm can.

In case you wanted to produce it. Which means not personal use. I guess you could also give it away as x ‰ of royalties on 0 USD is still 0.

Except for performance, availability, and price, they're no match for the Hoback 150

That's with a Turq frame. If you compare the regular frame builds, the Yetis and Alchemys are about the same price. A GX Eagle Alchemy is $6700. A GX Eagle SB-150 is $6300 with slightly worse specs.

It's the poor man's Yeti. Except it costs the same as a Yeti.

I watch wc xc,but only the last couple of years. Why haven't I heard of Christopher Blevins? Well, I saw he was on the us relay team, yesterday but I don't recall seeing his name before that. Is he a regular at the world cups? Very cool to have an American male at the pointy end!
