Improved pricing is always good news in the mountain bike industry. With a general recession and some tough times in the industry, competitive pricing for our shiny bits and pieces is always appreciated.

Revised pricing from the Quebec-based Morewood Bikes Canadian importer and distributor, Lama Cycles, means a price drop for 2011 Morewood frame kits. This allows them to compete more effectively within the "boutique brand" niche market. Lama Cycles recently announced reduced pricing for their 2011 Morewood bikes range.

The Makulu 8" travel DH bike now comes in at $3199 with a Cane Creek Double Barrel (with steel spring)

The Kalula 7" mini-DH/FR/SS bike comes in at $3099 with a Cane Creek Double Barrel (with steel spring)

Priced with a Double Barrel shock, that's a competitive package which stacks up well against each of their peers. Here's a taster of what the 2011 frames look like.
