I never said the direction my disappointed was directed, but thanks for telling me how I should feel ...jk...honestly when I picked up the bike and saw it I just shrugged it off because it is likely the shops fault but shit happens and these guys are all friends of mine so no way I'm I going to make them sweat over it after 17 years of great service. Brand new fancy-ass, counter-weighted work stands btw.

I have the 30.9 Revive and while I have not been able to ride it yet, the anodization on the stanchion did not survive the first encounter with my LBS's work stand. Disappointing.

One of my take aways is that ride height and balance are critical first steps. I assume ride height should be set as low as you can get away with without too many pedal strikes as this will corner better, I'm confused on balance though. What's a good balance between front and rear? Is it dependent on what you're riding ...down hill verses level terrain? How do you measure it --two bathroom scales technique? How do you adjust it? What if you have radically different balances when seated verses standing?
