Danny is pretty much the benchmark for the first split at the Fort, so I think it's safe to say that he didn't try too hard.
Epic coverage as always, you guys rock!

Good luck to all the privateers who spunked $7000-$10000 on a 27.5 last year and now have to do the same this year on a 29er to have a chance. Nice one SC!

Yeah I agree, saying 29 is faster doesn't make sense, it's about where they are faster. I can't imagine a 29er being a huge advantage on tight old school tracks like Maribor or Schladming. On fast, blown out tracks with wide corners, however, I think it definitely is an advantage to carry more speed and roll over the rocks and holes.

Holy fuckaroo, Mark Scott is a maniac.
That is one chunky gap, and I haven't even seen what the run-in and landing look like

It's interesting to see that all 3 Syndicate riders are sticking to last year's main line through the gully section. It's a harder setup and longer in distance, but gives you better exit speed out of the turn, and less risk of tire/rim damage on the rocks.
Maybe, just maybe, they all qualified in the top 3 because they're ridiculously talented and hard-working, and know which lines to take.

I think it makes perfect sense for Loris, he's always been blazing fast, he was just a little on the loose side, which people often forget, because the French are almost all "slow iz smoozze, smoozze iz fast" type of riders. The wagon wheels most likely help him tame down his wild style

Based on literally everything I know about suspension, a shock that doesn't sag (and thus has no negative travel) sounds awful. I'm really, really curious about your thoughts after test riding this shock. Please don't pull punches this time though *cough*...more

Wasn't Gee spotted riding a 29er last year? I'm pretty sure it was mentioned/hinted on GMBN

It's so great when someone with no sense of entitlement gets a great opportunity! Unassuming, pleasant, well spoken, NICE, wicked bike skills,, there are lots of reason there are lots of people cheering for you.

I think the one thing that surprised me (but Spomer isn't drama like me..and it would cause drama) was why he didn't follow up the pay question with: "Well, if you think payscales should be public, let's hear it. What are they paying you these days?"
I know that when Palmer showed...more

Different era's. Sam came up when the tracks were steep loamy gnar top to bottom, not much pedalling. As fast as Finn is, I doubt he can even come close to the top guys on physical tracks like Fort Bill or Cairns. Even the technical tracks (Val DI Sole, Andorra) are extremely physical now, due to how blown out they get over a race week-end
