Sorry didn't see your comment.
All 170mm fox 36s can be made into 180mm by adjusting internally. There is a peg on the top cap shaft to be moved down 10mm and a spacer to be removed from the neg air chamber.

Nice to see a legit tubeless DH casing tire. Not sure I'm willing to jump in at $90 a tire to see if I like them though.

I had two LB rims on my XC bike. Cracked the rear on the third ride. Cracked the front a year later. Now I'm running "name brand" carbon rims and when you compare them to the LB rims, it's very clear that the LB rims are thin and weak... especially the bead. That sad, I've...more

I'm sorry but I'll never be able to trust any stoppers with the Avid/Sram logo on them. I bought a 4600 bike which came equipped with Sram Guide brakes and they've been nothing but a headache since I first rode the bike. The seem alright after bleeding when coming out of the store, but as soon as I...more

I'd still be riding my bombers if the bike hadn't be pinched! Nice build sir.
Had a zaskar with 97 bomber z1 bams, progressive coils both sides and custom damping.

Yes, that's touchy and the more E-MTB I see, the angrier I'am.
They might be fun (like kissing your cousin!) but they are wrong!
I rode some and I even own one for commuting but still think they are the lamest fucking millenials bastard version of mtb!
Sure they move quick going up but...more

Gotta be a rim only option as they offer only boost at present. Missing a massive market without rim or normal options

Stans Flow MK3 29" - 527 grams
Santa Cruz Reserve 30 29" - 490 grams
I would argue it would be very difficult to notice 37 grams in a rim while riding. I am not saying they are near as stiff or any of that other carbon arguments. But arguing these huge weight savings over...more

Meh.... trail centre's. No exactly a ticking all boxes proving ground. Got exactly 3 days use in the alps with my last set of carbons, great investment

Loss of trail access is the big ticket. The various trail user groups throughout the US are very heavily anti-MTB. Mountain biker advocacy groups across the US have fought a long hard battle to get what little access we have. As of late, the fight has been going very well, mainly due to the...more

Related, IMBA has just updated their position on e-bikes. It now reads:

IMBA is supportive of Class 1 eMTB access to non-motorized trails when the responsible land management agency, in consultation with local mountain bikers, deem such eMTB access is appropriate and will not cause any...more

Europe is a big, varied place, but down in the south of France the local enduros started an e-mtb category 2 years ago. The first year there were 4-5 shop owners racing, the next year there were maybe 10... Then this year the last race I went to had 40 including very fast downhillers and...more

Hey folks,
I am a long time reader of Vital MTB and due this topic I am now doing my first post. I am riding for more than 20years and do like for sure more the way down than up. I am not a sceptical person - I do ride 29" for several years now for enduro use which is/was quite unusual for...more
