Additional Info

I built this frame up a couple of years ago with some of my favorite and trusted parts, and been riding it for a few years now on 27.5" wheels. Recently, I decided to throw in a 29-inch forks and wheel, and try this whole "mixed-wheel" thing. In order to get there, I had to first get a hold of a 29" forks (thanks to SR Suntour for the support!) and new 29" front wheel. The frame comes in at 160mm rear travel, so I had to reduce the forks travel from stock 170mm to 160mm to correct geometry. I also went from 30mm rise to 20mm rise handlebars and slammed the stem. The bottom bracket height went up by approximately 10 to 15mm, however with a set of offset bushings I was able to slacken and lower the bottom bracket height to 340mm. Head angle sits at around 64 degrees, and seat angle at around 72 degrees. Overall the bike rides pretty good on the descents, feels super planted and corners pretty good. The only negatives would be nervous handling on lower speeds and climbing.
