they are all great bikes, but just remember that Yeti tends to run about one inch longer top tubes than santa cruz in the same sizes, so that might help your decision in terms of sizing.

Paolo i'm about 5'6" and have ridden every manuf under the sun. Specialized tends to run a bit long relative to other bike manufacturers like Santa Cruz. I rode an SX trail for a long time in small size and it still seemed really long to me. even their geometry specs the effective top tube for size small at 22 inches for most of their frames. i ran a 38mm stem and it still seemed long. trust me, get the small.

amen to that. i do the same. no CTD or lock out remotes either - three cables total. super clean. keeps the complete bike weight down too. like PaucH said above, if you're racing you wont realize anyway.

Erik - no apologies necessary. As usual you organized a fantastic event, with 5 minutes of reality TV in there at the end. Nothing to feel bad about, since anyone who was there can tell you guys are all super passionate about putting on this race. In fact the TMZ stuff was entertaining. I was the guy taking pictures at the bottom of stage 2 who had the shiny white Shimano MP-66 shoes. My buddy KK and I camped both nights and I'm still super stoked from the awesome weekend of riding, meeting cool folks, and attempting to be an enduro racer. Thanks again, sir.
