E bikes are not mountain bikes. They are weak motor bikes. But fun to ride and generate lots of new money for the industry so here we are

Lots of trails up there. Keep your eyes peeled for the PB article that drops tomorrow.

Ebikes ain’t legal up there though. Pretty disappointed that these guys didn’t figure that out before they filmed and shared this on a major media outlet.
Super lame.

While it's great to see a new player enter the tire market at a high level on both performance and durability fronts, their "Direct to Consumer" pricing doesn't pencil out. I can buy any Specialized tire direct from Specialized or a dealer for $60. Street prices on any Maxxis I've ever...more

$65 with no middle man strikes me as kinda expensive. MAP (minimum advertised price) for most Maxxis models is less than $70. A direct to consumer cost of $45-$50 would put them on par with the wholesale pricing of the the most expensive mtb tires available.

I'm not dead against e-bikes, but SC trying to justify this by saying it was to explore further in Downieville is just bollocks. Justy say we want to make more money!

SC adds their name to the boycott list of shame! Next to Marin, Santa Cruz has had the worst uphill struggle with trail-access in all of California. Throwing more fuel on the flame by building more eMopeds to shred the tenuous peace NorCal riders have worked so hard to build on...more
