I'm mad about electric mopeds on trails built by and for mountain bikers. As if there weren't enough booby traps set for people pedaling actual mountain bikes on trails.

I'll agree on the digging part and for towing kids. Kind of agree with the getting less fit people active, getting unfit people way the hell out in the woods is not good. And lobbying? I think that's most people's biggest concern is that other users view them as electric...more

Really? Sure it gets you up the hill faster but there is no way it handles better going down hill. A lot of us don't mind the up hill part of riding. And if I want to shuttle or ride a chairlift I'll just do that.

Transition, Santa Cruz, YT, Intense. All small or core mtb companies. Makes the choice for my next bike much easier because I won't buy from a company that makes them, would have rather had more options though. All the shit corporations jumped right on that bandwagon. I can't even look at a Trek or Specialized now with how they push their electric garbage. Bike companies pushing products that will end trail access for bikes. It doesn't make sense.

Well there's the downside that mopeds aren't allowed on trails that mountain bikers put lots of labor into building, the downside that it's a motorcycle but still has pedals making it the worst of both worlds, and the downside that if you ride one you're an idiot.

I have used di2 and it shifts great! But to me it’s hard enough to ride sometimes not to have the opportunity foiled by batterys needing a charge. And look at all the clutter it adds. I’m sure that’s why they picked Scott bikes to showcase it, normal Scott owners and dealers wouldn’t even...more
