Yeti specifically said they won't offer sixfinity for bikes. All those moving parts would be nasty to troubleshoot if you get some busted bearings.

Why can't I upvote this more than once! I agree to this point on all levels and beyond!

Just checked a video of DW link in action, and it seems the lower link moves a little, and then almost stops about half way in the travel.

In August 2012, I got a Vivid Air shock to my Yeti SB66 with BOS Deville fork. After two years with a season ticket in Hafjell, I decided that I had just as much fun on my trail bike, and sold my Morewood Makulu with BOS Idylle and S*toy. Which was a ... more »

For me it is a probable scenario, as the chain will always be in motion, hence the forces are not applied to a static portion of the chain.

Thing is: there is no 70mm stroke metric shock available, as the purpose of the whole metric system is to ensure proportional bushing overlap and air can size as shocks get longer. To get a 70mm metric shock, you need to go for a 250x75, limited to 70mm ... more »

Maybe it is the bike he knows the best?

Added reply in a thread MTB Tech Rumors and Innovation 8/13/2021 5:13 AM

Nope. There are larger shocks available for downhill and superenduro (like the Pole Stamina 180): 250x75

Just listening to the Marginal Gains podcast, where it was mentioned that Silca may be working on a high end shock pump. That is really something I would look at.

The Yeti? It has an Infinity logo on the chainstay, so I guess there is some kind of linear linkage there with some rearward axle path in the beginning of the travel.
