So to me that bike looks more of a „short travel“ enduro then a trailbike. Am I completeley wrong with that?
When I look especially at the geometry of the 29“ version, I see a rather agressive race bike. The size large has pretty much the same numbers as...more

Not defending it but he was able to pedal to the top, no uplift. Try that on a traditional DH is the point.

honest question — on pinkbike there has been a lot of chatter about broken seat stays on patrol, scout, sentinel. but then here a major reason this award was given is reliability. any comments on this? i’ve been looking at a scout for a trail bike, decided against it based...more

I was running a the 650b RC2C on my Yeti SB5c, and have just received an order of the 29er version to replace the Fox 36 on my Trek Slash.
The bleed ports are almost redundant because of how easy the fork is to perform a lowers service; they're an absolute joy to work on!!...more

Hey man, be a critic! I don't mind whatsoever. Its how we get better eh!?

I don't disagree they are in the same category, I just think they are *all* in the same category. Metric, Lyrik, 36, Durolux, etc etc.

Where I disagree is that 1/2 of a pound of non-rotating...more

According to SR Suntour, this fork was designed for any kind of aggressive mountain bike riding. To over-segment forks into more categories, seems futile to me, and more for the marketeers than the riders.

I haven't ridden X-Fusion stuff since their scraped launch of the...more

AS sweet spot is subjective. Knolly's ride motto is traction, so they purposefully design bikes with that in mind, and not on AS alone. There are a number of factors that influence suspension characteristics and certain bikes will therefore cater to riders that value a certain type of performance over another. I've ridden a few Knolly's now and they are great bikes, and they pedal very well (even single ring). In fact I prefer the feel of the 4x4 over VPP and DW. I prioritise my riding enjoyment by being able to clean a technical climb that gets me to a gnarly descent. Being efficient on a fire road is the least of my priorities, and personally I think people who base the quality of a bike on it's ability to climb fire roads as their first measuring stick as moronic. 'Linkage Design' only tells part of the story.
