More conventional chainstays have a really slim tube area near the chainring. This tube area is always really thin to clear the chainring rotation, allow enough tire clearance, and reduce the chainstay length as much as possible. With elevated chainstay the tube comes from the top of the chain and so does not require to have such a small section. That’s something I realized by going through the design of it.
Plus the chain don’t have to be broken to be removed
Glad you like it !

Really good one ! Good discussion
Well a lab that size would be big enough for a one frame per day mini factory, dream place

Thanks for your comment,
Just add a picture where you can see the symmetry line. That was hard to have the chevrons properly aligned...

Swipe right in the pictures, just add the geo chart.
The CAD is from end of 2016, not the current trends... but this ride fine and fast enough really

Thanks
Well, I used OOA Out Of Autoclave prepreg from Easycomposites and cured this in my (big) homemade oven. The front triangle is molded in one shot in a big resin mold using a bladder. There is a debulking every 3 layers made with a simple vaccum bag.

I think I bought my Tallboy LTc after I saw the video of Mike in something like a hangar simply explaining how the bike was cracking. At the time they did a launch video (I don’t know if it was from Mr Spomer) which was so cool. Sure it wasn’t six figures video !
Great interview again!

There is almost a year since the inside line started, and I just discovered these podcasts few days ago.
It is really great to see this new kind of web content, simple discussions but qualitative interviews of people who made the mtb what it is today.

I especially like this one with Intense boss. Good to know how the Intense story started and what are the real challenges of such company.
However knowing that SEED and Cero were involved in latest developments I still can’t imagine what is the background work to bring these machines to market.
