The one thing we all need to remember here is that if it has a motor. People will and in this case already have figured out ways to make it more powerful and go much faster. If you know anything about electric motors and batteries it doesn’t take much ... more »

This x 10000. Those stinky propedal levers need to be phased out for anything not XC. The sooner the better. Hi/Lo compression adjustment cannot be considered a premium in 2020.

Out: Companies speccing $6000-plus bikes with shocks that don't have compression adjustment.

Dustin, It’s really good. I had a Fox DPX and a Fox X2 as well as a Fox 36 that came with it. The RockShox stuff is easier to set up and is plusher off the top.
I have the Super Deluxe Shock set up to feel pretty similar to the 2019 X2 fully loaded with spacers. Except I can put more volume spacers in the Super Deluxe to make it even more progressive.
The Lyrik is Bad ass. Super plush off the top and just the right amount of support through the stroke. The Maxel is on the right side which I also prefer. It took a lot of tinkering with the 36 with the Fit2 to get it feel any where near as plush off the top as the Lyrik does out of the box. It’s more supportive throughout its stroke which can be a plus or minus depending on the rider.
I’m not going to say one is better than the other because they are pretty even in my opinion and with the right tune they will feel very similar. I’ve had really good luck with RockShox not so much with Fox. So I went with RockShox. Hope this helps.

pure speculation on my end, but i'd imagine it's not so much bitterness as just not wanting to work for free or give anything away for free. not sure how it all works in the end though.
