Awesome! This is what it's all about. What's next? Can we hear from Team Robot and find out what the hell happened?

I'd just call it what it is- someone who lives in the big city , likes to catch airs on a bike and has a hour or two to kill after work.

This is why Mitch is one of my favorite riders. So sick at everything - every time he's on a bike

They'll probably have to have the MediVac helicopter parked on-site for this one, can't believe nobody will ever try that loop again.........or will they?

Easy to skew the numbers for different purposes, but perhaps not fair... You could say over the last 16 years Brian has only had three frame sponsors. GT, Ibis, Intense. Now Ellsworth but you can't factor that in yet as we are not sure how many years he will remain there. Thats a whole lot...more

Added a comment about feature How in the Hell Does Kirt Voreis Not Have a Bike Sponsor? 11/11/2016 9:46 AM

Kirt is a real OG and godfather of today's mtbing. Maximum respect to him. People like him and Lenosky belong in the MTB hall of fame. But unfortunately that's life in the biz today. The progression curve is so steep that people who were Legends six or seven years ago, are getting schooled by 15-25 yr old kids that have no sponsors and just riding for fun.
For better or worse- you can blame the internet and YouTube. Back in the day, people thought bunnyhop tailwhips were impossible on mtb, but now seems pretty common. The "monkey see-monkey do effect" is powerful.....(where it seems impossible until you get on YouTube and dozens of other people doing it). It reminds me of a many years ago when I was trying to learn 360 bunnyhops, and they seemed impossible---then I was on YouTube and was blown away that some fat 16-17 year old kid in Arkansas was doing them easily on a Walmart bike. I credit that fat kid for giving me the intense motivation to learn that trick. It's bike Darwinism........just ask Blackmarket bikes and Atomlab.

Probably not as bad as the ol'fashion - throw a big log across the landing of a blind drop or jump. And you somehow think it is some hardcore enviromental dude - but the irony comes when you find out it was actually another mountain biker - who has his ... more »

Added reply in a thread If You Could Learn One Trick, What Would it Be? 7/2/2016 9:50 PM

I used to tell kids in my hood that learning a trick on a mtb is like chopping a tree down with a steak knife ........it takes a long time, but eventually the tree falls, and then you will always be able to do that trick for the rest of your life. You ... more »
