I think you will find that Most DT athletes run the 471 instead of the 511. Most are also still running aluminum bars as well

yes you are correct Dave Garland from Stendec instigated that project at EXT.
EXT is doing it right with an adjustable hydraulic bottom out control
Just make coil shocks that can be made more progressive so we can be done with this already.

I would have thought Brayton would be running the Hope V4 brakes but he's on the E4? Also, considering he is sponsored by Ohlins, why is he not riding their DH fork?

He's probably still running the older version of the Hillbilly, he used to run the older Butcher even after they released the newer one...
Agreed, the low slung shock and shapes are very similar to the banshee, as is that big upper link, but it's not actually a dual link design like the banshee, which is one of my favourite looking DH rigs. It's technically more like the Sender with the ... more »
I think it mostly comes down to butt space for smaller riders to move around without getting buzzed by using the 27.5
Interesting how the chainstay attaches on the outside of the mainframe on the non-drive side but on the inside on the drive side. Obviously for space purposes around the chainring but it sets my OCD Off ?
Specialized does not currently have a DH casing 29" tire for him to use on the front. He is running the Butcher DH 27.5 on the back.
Nukeproof have had a 29 Mega for a couple years now already but I suspect they are prototyping a carbon one...

Still surprises me how many DH pros still run the DT EX471 rims with 25mm internal width... guess this whole wider rim fad is just that

Not to mention that in Enduro specifically but DH too, you need to first finish before you can win, so durability takes priority over light weight with race bikes
Seems like a given that the new Hightower would have the same design as they did on the nomad and Bronson... Should be a sick bike! Wonder if there will be an LT version immediately?
