Just DON'T. You're not welcome ;-)
That run was incredible!
I count seven pivot points.
NEEDLES!!!
If you're not taking apart your bike and cleaning it after a month of riding, your bike will be a shit heap regardless.
"Need" is subjective. Who honestly follows recommended service intervals? Besides, the suggested service would take you all of 5 minutes.
Ride the new bike then tell us if you're still bummed. I'm pretty sure you won't be.
You do realise that this system works in pretty much the same way as the original Switch Link found in your SB95a? The only real difference being the bearing within the eccentric has been...more

Knowing that the SB5C rides like it has 20-25mm more travel than it does, this SB6C shouldn't have any issues.
It's not the price. I don't care how much it costs because I'll still buy what I can afford. There are two big reasons why I am a "hater": it retains the front derailleur and it is a solution for something that is not broken.
I despise front derailleurs and see their existence...more
I agree with BT on this point for sure, but still... MTB + rock (even XC guy) and you are out $1000.00... Think about it. Shop guys: Think of the people who damage their bikes in the 1st month of ownership and blame the bike shop because "it's a new bike. It should not have broken." Now that same issue and they are told it will cost $1000.00. Good luck calming that customer down before they make a HUGE scene in your store.

The battery life is not an issue. You can actually get a long time out of the Di2. Battery life is the least of my worries with this stuff.

"I wish I had electronic shifting on my mountain bike," said no cyclist ever.
Shiiiit, keep this away from my bike(s).
R&D, please spend more time trying to replace the derailleur with something better, not making it more $$$.
I can't believe they put that out with a triple... Credibility lost. And, it works great on road bikes for sure, but i can't afford a $1000.00 rock strike on my MTB! It is bad enough with current high end parts! Imagine, one little crash or one missed line: $1000.00. No thanks.

Why is there a chain on this bike?!
