Added a comment about feature Built from the Frame Up - Privateer 141 Dream Bike on a Budget 2/15/2021 10:01 AM
Skeen

Anyone could nitpick a part change here or there but overall this build nails the budget/dream combo. I just can’t decide if I want my next FS bike to be around 140 or 160. If can manage to also keep my current mega trail then I’ll definitely go a bit shorter for the next frame’s travel.

At this price, with a Canadian-made frame, the package is incredible value. Upgrading to better brakes is easy and you can choose what you like. I ride a Nukeproof Scout 290 (which btw is incredibly fun and was my go-to bike in the winter months, rarely missing my Foxy) and...more

Buy the stock deore build (same cost as SX build) then buy a Z2 for $500 and sell the rockshox new off the bike for maybe $200 to move it quickly. $300 extra and a screaming deal. My only complaint would be 2.4 tire limit but this is still an amazing bike for the $.

26 ain’t dead! Who is this 26er built for? Probably smaller riders, I wonder how large the sizing on it goes. Cool to see this line up.

I was wondering the same thing and would guess:sort of but not really. Say you have a 6 degree hub, you will always be somewhere between 6 and 0 degrees depending on the moment so it will be inconsistent where as the o chain always resets to be ready for full use of rear rotation. But I’d like to hear from someone who knows for sure.

Added a comment about press release Yeti Cycles Abandons Use of Tribe in Marketing 7/14/2020 10:11 PM

I have to disagree, I believe use of the term is context specific. As the company explained their point of view on their decision: Recently, we’ve learned our use of the term “Tribe” can be offensive to indigenous people, due to the violent history they have endured in the United States. The word “Tribe” is a colonial construct that was used to marginalize Native Americans and its continued use by non-indigenous people fails to accurately recognize their history and unique status as Tribal Nations.

If you are of a native group of people and can explain to me why you disagree with this I would love to hear your perspective.

I wonder if you don't realize or don't care that you cited a white source to back up a white point of view that marginalizes non-white people. Nice "citation".
