Aside from whatever laws are in place in certain locations, I don't get why so many people have the need to try to dictate what can be ridden on a mountain, what makes you "part of mainstream culture" or what-not. Does it really bother you so much...more

Feels like a rant that was a long time coming. I am not going for popularity on Vital here, any pro ebike comments gets knocked pretty quickly online. The published numbers are the "effective" seat tube angle. That is showing the angle at an estimated seat height per size. The actual angle is the same on all sizes.

Bolt it together with a bunch of other crap and make a chopper, tall bike or other freakshow 2 wheeled thing. The top half of my tall bike is a Brooklyn Machine Works park bike HT with the broken rear end cut off.

Panaracer smoke was the first tire worth a damn for sure. Had those on my super caliber with 1.25 headset and glued in bb.

Hey now! Sachs chains just became Sram chains... definitely not so nostalgic there, I still use them! Upgrade kits for forks (kind of coming back in a more sophisticated way with Push, etc)... brake arches, elastomer swap to spring kits and all that
