Reply to Discussion: Fork Damping vs Spring Rate 7/23/2019 8:05 PM

This....I can’t really answer the pole to either side. Lately I feel like I’ve been bumping pressures up and -1 spacer while mainly removing some lsc, hsc has only been backed off a very slight amount. if I go too far out with the hsc I still feel the ... more »

Not saying he is or isn’t out. But, to say he was on a “winning pace” is a bit gratuitous...I mean, yeah he managed to ride really well for that first 10-15 seconds of a 4:40 minute race.

Dh bike on Dt Swiss ex511’s Huck up front with wtb tough, Cush (with some material removed) in back with a vee rumba I’m playing with in gravity core. Normally wtb tough though. Usually 25-27psi up front, and 27-30 in the rear. I’m 155lbs rider weight ... more »

Reply to Would You Pay to Watch More World Cup DH on Red Bull TV? 6/2/2019 7:58 AM

This. Not paying to wake up at 4:30-5am. Especially for Red Bull media. More races a year, more in the America’s, and a more stable platform to watch it on than red bull media player (which has gotten better, but still sucks in reality). All of that, ... more »

Reply to Discussion: Sped up and manipulated MTB footage 5/28/2019 9:01 AM

Obviously speeding up footage is lame as shit, and is someone giving in 100% to ego. Regarding your comment about camera frame rate and editing timeline, I do feel like I’ve seen a lot of edits done over the years by less professional riders/editors ... more »

Same, e*13 is fine going under the bus, they’ve not been the king of quality over the last few years, or ever....Hall on the other hand has built a reputation as a wrench that only does high quality work. And of course the fact that nobody cares about ... more »

Pretty sure some are labeled on the bottom as water, only for athletes at large events. At other events I’ve been to, I’ve seen redbull get dumped out and replaced with water, far from cameras obviously.

In which case all the comments and titles of “Two Shocks” would be inaccurate. Technically still only one shock “ie shock absorber” and a spring. Our common thought of what a Mtb shock is, has just been broken into two separate parts. They could add ... more »

Looks like a couple varieties of air shock being played with also. Curious to see where this goes. Wonder if there’s any damping going on in the upper “shock?” as well or if it’s purely spring. Can we still call it a shock if it’s not handling damping

Two divorced parents taking their anger out on the kids. Why the fuck are riders being punished for this?

Still looks to me like like a standard shock. Rocker pivots and pushes back down on it. I think his leg is hiding the upper and lower mounting points for the other shocks mounting bracket. Think they just left a standard damper with no spring on it in

Aesthetically, shock in downtube looks so much better. Possible twin damper setup is interesting, but seems so unnecessary now a days. Looking at other pics floating around, it’s hard to tell if the upper shock has a reservoir. Would make sense for the ... more »

Shhh, don’t tell Neko Mulally. He seems to like the combo in certain situations. Mainly steeps over the back wheel.

Temp and pressure sensors most likely. Seen on a few other bikes, namely Danny’s if I recall correctly

Curious to see how strong flax can be in this situation. Looks like Porsche is using it for non structural parts such as panels and wings. It’s been used in the ski industry as a “more eco friendly” version of fiberglass. Never heard anything about the ... more »

Doubtful. He’s on his old rampage bike, probably more comfortable to hit big jumps on than the newer bike and suspension. Fully destickered lowers also
