@lloyd506 yes, the plan for the "1199" world cup DH track is for it to finish at the Creekside base area. They raced the upper part of 1199 track last weekend in the EWS. I assume most or all of the rest of the track is completed by now. Was supposed ... more »

If it is anything like the Megatower then there will be no need for a different link. MT has the best suspension feel I have ridden to date even in comparison to my CC linked bikes.

What's the point of the high and low settings being so incredibly close? 3mm bb change and .3 degree HA change doesn't seem like a noticeable enough difference to bother including the feature. I really like the stack and CS sizes on the XXL being built for XXL riders. Aside from the pricing I am quite...more

Regarding the new Demo: @Primoz @TheShortestCharles: If the most recent mock up TheShortestCharles did is pretty close to accurate, what are both your thoughts on WHY they would update to this design if the leverage curve is basically the same? Just ... more »

Did anyone see what Gwin was running for tires? I'm thinking he was on those Vee mud tires. He looked really smooth in the woods (for him), but to me it seemed like he wasn't carrying as much speed as normal on the motorway and flat bits where he wasn't ... more »

Yea, looks like a plastic cap (better to transmit wireless signals). Maybe the first built-in Shockwiz in the wild.

https://bikerumor.com/sram-flight-attendant-auto-pilots-your-suspension-with-wireless-electronic-damping-adjustments/ I think this may have been posted previously, but here's a lot of the detail on the new Rockshox stuff. The new larger neg spring air ... more »

Doubt it, as you can't patent a large negative spring. And while it does look similar it's not exactly the same. Still looks like Vorsprungs is larger.

New Fuel EX: Obviously going to be 140mm with the top Fuel at 120mm. Bit slacker. Might have mullet option as one build. Retains internal storage and uses the less proprietary shock setup like Top Fuel. Shock may be mounted upside down. There are also ... more »

The new Canyon just needs to shift the sizing naming 'up' a rung. So the current XL is actually as XXL, which would make the 480 reach 'medium' a large. And then they need to add a real small in there, around 425/430. OR do what's much better and do ... more »

500mm reach on a large is likely while we'll see Jack Moir on a MEDIUM at 6'1".

Aug 22nd is long after the embargo is lifted. So yes, by the time they're in customer's hands the rear shock will of been public for months. The shock has obviously been 'done' for a while but as always....supply chain.

More brands need to make light casing high grip/soft rubber. Regarding WTB; their 'light' casing is still pretty burly. I think most put it between EXO+ and DD. I would say that's a fair assessment.

I think the comments on the chonky downtubes being partially to condition people for e-bikes is totally a part of what's going on. They're making larger downtubes for batteries and storage. Bikes looks similar. Look at Stumpy EVO.... lots of people think ... more »
