The plastic piece of protection bolted/glued to the bottom of the downtube that goes from the BB up about halfway the DT. It serves to protect your frame from rocks thrown up by the front wheel. It's purpose is exactly the same as a wrap.

RideWrap is a no brainer. I installed it on my Patrol after leaning it against a fence to wash it and some of the paint scratching off. I wish I had installed it right away since it keeps the bike looking fresh and it seems like the dirt even washes off easier.

On my new carbon Throttle hardtail, I would have ordered RideWrap but its an old frame so they don't have a kit. I went with an all mountain style sticker kit combined with heli tape. It is nowhere near as good of coverage and took more consideration on the install, but it covers the most important spots alright.

I will definitely get RideWrap for my next frame. I care about my bikes and want them to look good, so I protect the frame and paint. I don't understand how this could be controversial.

Ride Wrap on my Revel Rascal
Invisiframe on my Intense M16c
DYED Bro on my Trek Powerfly LT4
3M tape on my Trek Ticket S

Custom cut full frame protection is sooo much nicer to have on the bike than none-full coverage. Also, difference in resale value of the bike with protection than without is a LOT more than the cost of the protection itself. In my book it's a no-brainer.

I got double whammy of grief from friends because I have an eMTB and I bought a ridewrap kit for my levo SL, it looks amazing (matte finish) and is protecting my frame from the wicked sharp brush we have in so cal. I am glad I purchased.

I'm a local builder. Allows you to get to the worksite and not be smoked. It is alot of work already. As you get further along or up the trail you have to ride more in to get to the starting point. I wish I had my ebike on the last trail that took 9 months to build. I would have finished it in 7 months.

Haha... I also don't care if I upset anyone with honesty, and the thing is, you are also acting with a type of entitled mentality, complaining about a company trying to innovate and clearly fill a space that people where looking for. Invisiframe from the UK were the first ones doing it and no one in north america was, hence ridewrap. Let's be real, you're complaining about what seems to be a cool company offering an after market product to protect your bike..? Have you even seen the film? It's not adhesive and it's brilliant imo. You don't have to buy it, just DON'T HATE, simple.

ps, NOTHING protects against rocks bashing your frame, but it does protect all the tiny pebbles from volcanic dirt and such, really well against all the common rubs and scratches to the frame, cables, foot rub, tailgate pad, etc.

Haha why always the hostility even within this topic.? Also, you're wrong. Think of it as an investment, these kits made to fit your specific model and size(matte or gloss finish), keep your frame in near perfect condition for when you want to SELL IT. It also looks good because it has no adhesive, You just peel it off and you can sell a new looking frame for a much better price than you normally would. If your spending lots of money on a bike, this is like a one time insurance that actually works.

@chasejj : I don’t ride carbon fiber and thinking about resale isn’t dumb, it’s good forward thinking but from the sounds of it you probably think Roth’s and 401k’s are dumb too huh? I’m guessing your money is buried in the backyard in a coffee can somewhere wink

chasejj: Do you hate on car valet service as well? Sure, I can clean it with water and sponge at home and cheaper! But maybe I just want to have it done properly? Maybe I just cant be bothered and want someone to do the work for me?
Just because you dont give a dam about your belongings does not mean others are stupid for wanting to protect and preserve what is theirs and for someone else for enabling them to do so.

Not sure it’s as insane as you may think , these drastically improve resale value because a clean Un-scratched frame sells easier and for more money! I’m very happy with my ride wrap!
