Well reading all the posts I struggle to grasp where @jeff.brines is being emotional and defends RR and JG. To me (overall) he's just saying "wait until the hearing and let the riders have a chance to defend themselves in front of the institutions" On ... more »

@jimmy Who is talking about giving a pass ? We're talking about staying put and measured as long as we don't have all the facts and the sentences from governing bodies. I can see two opposite points of view in the above (here with a touch of caricature)

@jeff.brines I hear you, and overall I think like you that we should remain cautious and measured about all this. I mean it would be crazy to punish the same way someone being caught while speeding 2 mph above the limit and someone driving recklessly ... more »

Except for 2 details: We should check the rules but from what I understood the B sample testing is mandatory, the rider only gets the right to be present or represented during the testing process. And I'm sure about the fact that samples A and B are ... more »

A couple more things not directly related to the testing process: from a medical point of view each individual should be considered as unique. It just means that every person is reacting differently and for some biological parameters or drug metabolism ... more »

I think it is good to clarify a couple of things, if I'm not an expert on doping and what kind of products are used, I know a bit how the testing methods work. First thing, doping is a race and the better anti-doping is getting, the smarter the dopers

But nothing posted is ever gone on the internet:

Even so I wish it could, because this is an image I will never be able to forget... Please stop trying to bring revolution to the suspension world with design uglier every time.

Sounds a lot like some disc rub, most likely because of a slightly warped disc (and possibly a slightly "out-centered" caliper)

Nor really a rumour but Maes confirmed in interview that he's very likely to race DH more regularly next year...

Added reply in a thread Dual crown forks in enduro soon? 8/24/2018 6:10 PM

The thing is by doing this you really don't "measure" fork flex. Your looking a the resulting flex of: -the bar itself -bar/stem interface -stem torsional rigidity -stem/pivot/headset interface -frame/headset interface -fork itself -fork/hub interface ... more »

I don't see this happening for real anytime soon, but some are already doing it:

Only upside I see for a double crown is to always have your stem perfectly aligned with the wheel ... more »

Well, there was an insta teasing with JC and Roppo about a new wheel/tire product.Considering their common sponsor (Sram/rockshox) and this story post I would believe too to some new high end offering from sram.

Added reply in a thread Not another suspension setup question.. 4/26/2018 8:01 AM

Well for me fear of bottoming out is as "irrelevant" as the idea that you should absolutely use all your travel. The issue when bottoming out is the stress you are putting on the suspension, frame and you. When it is occasional there's nothing to fear ... more »

Pretty sure the rude post is a photoshop... And if you look at greg's vid you'll see at the end that it's very likely a standard DX2 coated with mud/sand.

First of all, I think that writing this is quite awesome. Second, congrats for your bikes, I love the idea and the final product. Now I'd say this "BestOf" is not to be taken as a "best products of 2017" (so not like a best in test) but more as a "look

Not only when riding DH. While riding regular trail/enduro I crashed at pretty high speed and bruised my thigh so badly I couldn't ride for like a month twice this year. So now I always wear a protector short.

Added reply in a thread Body armor 1/31/2018 1:05 PM

First thing, there are injuries you can't really avoid (like collar bones or wrist, there is pretty much no way to prevent a fall from breaking them). Personally I always ride with protections, but I only pick "comfortable" protections, ie D3O and likes. ... more »

I think it's interesting to compare to other sports too. For example I've had one set of "Do it all" skis for a long time. And they where truly master of none, but most important they weren't really fun anywhere and I could feel it (even without testing ... more »
