Added a comment about product review Even MORE Negative Volume! RockShox MegNeg Review 1/4/2020 7:38 AM

I've got an 05 Cannondale Prophet with a regressive single pivot design. Would this work with that? It goes from a 2.6:1 ratio to a 3.0:1 ratio at the end.

It takes a high compression and low rebound tune with the old monarch I had tuned by dirtlabs.com.

I plan on getting a new shock in 200x2.25 bumping travel to 160mm soon (common mod as is a 27.5 conversion I did this year) so I'm curious if this would be worth it.

Not the same leverage ratio and all that of course, but I love the way my old 05 Prophet rides. I got a custom tuned shock for it and it's very nice. Replacing the pivot bearings took less than 10 minutes too. A good single pivot wins. At least for me.

I'm pretty sure the patent on the VPP suspension design expired. So no sue for you, SC!

Neko is from Reading Pennsylvania originally. I lived near there and I had the pleasure of watching him dominate the Duryea DH race they had there for a bit. I saw him there in 2007 when he was on Specialized. I didn't get to meet him but I was told he is a class act for sure. Great to see him on Intense and constant team mates with Gwin. They're 2 of my favorite riders. I wish them a great season!

So many long lists. Mine is very short. 1. Walgoose Rockadile (dear Lord, the name) that I began upgrading because I couldn't a afford a real frame. 2. 07 Cannondale caffeine when I could afford a real frame. 3. 05 Cannondale Prophet. I initially cannibalized ... more »

At least it isn't some weird ass Santa Cruz color. Or nuclear yellow with purple graphics. I'm old school but primary colors rule. I get that people like the new style but then the alt colors are always gray black monochrome boring. Pivot's red and black ... more »

Added a comment about feature Vital MTB How-To: Choose a Mountain Bike Dropper Seat Post 12/14/2016 6:23 AM

Only one possible choice listed here for my admittedly ancient 2005 Prophet at 27.2. I'd love to find one in that diameter with 125+ mm of travel. All I see is 100 and that's a bit short. Good write up otherwise. Can't please us all and I'll upgrade eventually.

Both are absolutely kickin builds. I am a total suckered for that black and red though. Kudos to both of you!

I was at Dirtfest 2014 here in central PA at the Allegripis Trail system along Raystown Lake. These trails are fast and flowing machine made trails in spots. That's not very common in PA. I was riding my XC hard tail on a trail called Osprey that I'd ... more »

This might not actually count because I ended up really liking the bike. It was just a major pain in the ass getting it trail worthy. This previous Christmas I scored a near mint 05 Prophet frame on ebay for a good price. It's my first FS bike (I'm a ... more »

My 05 Prophet CS measurement comes in at 16.5" but that's with a shorter front and 90-110mm stems. Funny how much geo changed in 11 years. Swung one way and now to the other in the long slack front end department. Now with such short CS measurements ... more »
