Added reply in a thread Tire Compound: What are top enduro guys running? 8/29/2019 1:05 PM

It sucks that Maxxis DH tires only come in Maxxgrip, even the Dissector. I think the ideal combo would be maxxgrip front, maxxterra rear. Too bad you can't get maxxterra in dh casing. I really hope the Dissector gets a dh/maxxterra combo to work well ... more »

OTT is your negative spring. The idea being you can preload it to simulate a larger negative and add air pressure to get midstroke support

I know you know this already, but as a general rule for fork tuning you tend to use fewer spacers as you go up in travel. It might sound counterintuitive, but relative to their free stroke, shorter travel forks have a far larger positive air chamber than longer travel forks. This is...more

THIS. The harshness that people are trying to combat occurs because of the steepness of the spring rate curve and how close you are to the bottom - more tokens with less pressure will just make both of those problems worse. Seen countless riders dropping pressure looking for a more...more

Nailed it.

Larger negative volumes means you can run higher overall pressure without losing your small bump.

I have found it interesting how everyone seems to push toward adding volume spacers to let them drop pressure for supposedly a more supple feel. This is the opposite of...more

It’s still a touch misleading though since it shows all forks having zero tokens. The Luftkappe essentially is a token since the extra negative space comes at the expense of the positive side. The ‘cap’ is ported on the underside allowing the negative air camber to be that much...more

How did he win with such narrow rims? I read on the internet that wide rims are faster.

The only change on the can is increased negative volume; positive volume is identical. You are correct that the increase in midstroke and bottom out support comes from running higher overall pressure.

Telemetry Stick. All the fast riders use them

So you want to be a WC suspension tech? First you must learn the delicate language of racer sound effects that they use to describe their dislike of your tuning. Kinda like Han and Chewy.

Reliability was crap with the 2015 SS, but from 2015 onwards, they have been pretty reliable.

The demo has the same suspension design as the Canyon Sender minus the MX link (basically the AL version, but the shock is lower)
