Hostility is the result of my lack of patience for dumb stuff and how this industry will promote it nonstop and never mention that it is not necessary. Nobody wants to upset their buddies in man buns. I will and don't GAF.
BTW- How in the hell does this protect against anything but the most minor...more

Why even bother yourself with frame coverage? it is already painted, why to add wrap on top of that?
it is free, less stressful and 0 hours wasted, and 0 waste

In an industry overwhelmed with dumb and overpriced products. The protection film market is leading the charge for the stupid looking to give away their money because they don't want a scratch on their frame. Insane.

Nothing personal Johan, but I was kind of hoping that Jeff Byrnes (sp?) had done this test.

Sorry, but a 30t chainring coupled with a 52t largest cog cassette isn't "useless", at least where I live. I would be more than happy to spin up on that setup on some steep and loose fireroad climb.

Eh, "fits" and optimized is hardly the same thing. Suns_PDS is right. That said, it likely won't be that big of a deal on trail. I rocked a 34 th on the last one and it rode just fine.

Interesting that the Sight VLT was more fun than the Levo. I didn't like the "off idle" click/hesitation of the Shimano motor but I heard they fixed this with a firmware update. The Levo motor is unbelievably good and reliable if you spin it and ride it...more

In this article, that’s spurred you on to comment, they say that an emtb has 1/50th of the power of a dirt bike, so your argument is ruined by facts.

If your against emtb's why are you reading or commenting on this article? If youre trying to dissuade anyone from considering one youre doing a poor job comparing an emtb to a motoX. If you havent figured that out by now your denial has fatally limited any...more

FYI we get closer to 8K elevation on the newer Levo/Kenevo in mostly trail settings with a little Turbo mixed in. Turbo is really overkill for most climbs. It is easy to "ride the bubble" which is basically pedaling enough to get motor support, but not so...more

So once by an emtb is "too often" and a few times by a mtb is "not too often"?

And how many times have you almost been taken out by a regular bike? It is not the machine it is the rider and all too common.

in my opinion, I'll try mullet combo, with Fox 49 170 or 180 mm. and a front wheel 29, with schwalbe magic mary ultrasoft...

Good test. I just bought a Rail 3 weeks ago and love it. EMTBs are rad. Don't worry about getting one (if you have the cash). Join the fun!
