The comment about the oneup lever is bogus, you just need to tighten the barrel adjust.. Once ya make it nice n tight the dropper actuates with barely any effort.

That is an easy one. The OneUp V2 stack height and total length are the shortest in the industry. You can easily determine how much more drop you can fit with two simple measurements. We'll even tell you how we stack up against the other guys...

FWIW: the tool to tighten down the headset cap is just a cassette tool. but I recognize that, if you don't want an EDC, there's not much appeal to running a headset cap with a big hole in the middle. and while there's almost certainly no problem with putting a star nut back...more

OneUp

To clear this up a bit, we sent both Fox and Rockshox EDC Taps and Top caps for third party testing back in 2017. To our knowledge, neither were unable to cause a failure during their respective lab testing. RockShox makes no official statement that we are aware of but Fox's official line is below:

“If a CSU is received and verified to have upper tube creaking and has a thread cut in its steerer to work with OneUp’s tool FOX will warranty that CSU. If a CSU is received for a steerer issue of any kind and has a thread cut in its steerer FOX will NOT warranty that CSU."

To summarize, Fox will warranty any failure other than one that is a direct result of EDC threads.

We have not heard of a single case of a fork warranty being denied due to the presence of an EDC thread.

Also worth mentioning is the lever doesn’t need to be through it’s entire reach to activate the post. A small and comfortable amount is enough to get her riled up!
