@bikeoholic. The rolling speed would be very similar between the more XC-oriented Crossmark II and enduro-targeted Minion SS. Straight line braking would also be close with the Minion SS edging out better braking on off-camber turns due to the larger side knobs.

Thanks for the interest! Aggressor is not available in WT design yet but that could change in the future as we are keeping an eye on market trends.

Aggressors should be in stock most places in the US over the next few weeks if not already, both in EXO and DoubleDown constructions. The Tomahawk DoubleDown has been available since last summer and DoubleDown Minion DHFs should be in stock at most shops currently.

@bikoholic, The Aggressor is going to roll slower and grip harder than the Ardent.

@Maxxis Bicycle , How would the Aggressor compare to the ardent in terms of rolling resistance and cornering grip ?

This was meant to be a standalone test and not necessarily a direct comparison to the Minion and HRII. But, since you guys asked, as mentioned in the article, we found cornering traction to be similar to a Minion, even under hard cornering. It's interesting GeorgeWHayduke mentioned the...more

The side knobs are closer in dimension to the wider High Roller II sideknobs with a little added reinforcement. I'd expect similar or better wear than a dual-compound High Roller II under most conditions. Compared to a Minion, they are less reinforced along the outside edge of the knob.

The Tomahawk is definitely on the lighter side of our trail tires, similar in performance to a Minion SS with it's short and highly ramped center tread, between the two there is a tradeoff in braking and rolling resistance with the Minion SS focusing on speed.

The Aggressor has similar levels of ultimate cornering grip to the DHF, DHRII, and High Roller II based on the cornering knob shape, size, and spacing. The tighter center cluster will roll faster than any of those tires and due to less aggressive ramping will also hook up better on loose climbs.
