Reply to 26 vs 29-inch wheeled DH bike comparison photo 6/21/2019 1:58 PM

Sorry, but I highly doubt there was any riding in Seasons done on bars slimmer than 710 mm, honestly. It was the mid 2000's, people were riding over 700 mm already, but not much. Now back to this cool thread!

Reply to Dual crown forks in enduro soon? 6/11/2019 5:23 AM

I have ridden that bike for a good while and, as everybody knows, the Specialized designed/Fox produced fork and shock were awful, to put it mildly. The fork was just too complicated on the inside and the huge amount of seals created bonus friction. ... more »

Reply to Would You Pay to Watch More World Cup DH on Red Bull TV? 6/3/2019 3:33 AM

As far as I am concerned, things are like this: I would pay the full 99 USD, if that was the only option. Even if I live in rather poor country and it's probably more of an effort than for people who have normal wages in Western countries. Why? Because

I need to put them on the bike first, then take some decent photos, then upload them to the bikecheck section, then hope someone appreciates. I can't do it overnight, but it'll be worth the wait, I promise! :D Sorry, for going off-topic, I'm shutting ... more »

@spomer, regarding Phil: It's pretty much earned, as those Cube bikes are ugly AF since a while now and they deserve the punishment! I guess we all hope to see more of that! :D

Are you sure you are not talking about Gravity Group, the team of 2006-2007 with Filip Polc, that ran Turners, FSA parts and sported red gear, before he got on Yeti? I'm 99% sure he wasn't on Global.

How about a smooth fit? I have no clue how well Robot Bike Co. was doing, but I dare assume that the Atherton name carries a bit more notoriety than the initial one, so why have two names doing the same thing? Only to cannibalize themselves? Dave Weagle

Yep, Maxxis did a great job bringing quality tires to everybody, but the truth is that the High Roller, Minion DHR and Minion DHF were nothing but rip-offs of Michelin's Comp 16, 24 and 32 with some tweaks here and there. The Comp 24 actually goes WAY

It just occurred to me: what happens to Mille Johnset? She was supported by the Athertons and doing pretty neat last season. I believe she will be in the Women Elite this year, but on what team? Does anyone have a clue?

So this means Trummer joins Potgieter and Irmisch on YT frames. Speaking of Dirt Propain, I have found this the other day and I don't think it needs any further explanation... https://www.pinkbike.com/u/firebird79/buysell/ Sniff!
