Agree with this. Feel like Martin or any other of the team managers you know could help make your point. It is utterly laughable that the UCI, as part of selling the rights, doesn't require the event to be live...

Added a comment about feature What Do 10,000 Mountain Bikers Think? Vital MTB Audience Survey Results and Market Trends 11/6/2019 11:05 AM

Considering over half the poll is married and the average/median age is late 30s, I would argue that household income is more important because most the respondents are going to be heavily impacted by "household" budget requirements.

Added a comment about feature Op-Ed - DON’T SPOIL THE RESULTS IN THE TITLE 9/18/2019 7:26 AM

This email and comments are a bit much... Vital is a news site and it's there obligation to report the news. If they didn't report the news of gravity MTB timely, I probably wouldn't visit the site.

ESPN, Nytimes, WSJ, etc. all report the winner of major events in real-time. Shit, I get a push notification from the times and journal within 30 seconds of the Pats winning the superbowl or the raptors winning the nba title. If you're comparing to other sports, you could argue that Vital should probably do more live reporting on the results. At a minimum Sven could get some decent internet and upload the pictures faster (I'm kidding. The coverage is awesome).

Am I know going to get pissed off about the Syndicate posting an IG story about Greg on the podium after the race? This is a live event. Watch it live. I get people don't want to sacrifice their day of riding to watch, but are 8 races a year really going to blow up your riding schedule for the summer (that's about 16 hours...)? Watch it live or stay off social media and mtb news sites until you see the replay.

If you have time read, analyze, and comment on the leverage curve missteps on the latest yeti, I am guessing you had some time to watch the race...

Is it truly a seeding run? I thought they go in the order of their UCI rank and this was essentially timed training? I think it will be a real bummer if Laurie and Greg are some of the first to go... The winner could be decided in the first two people..

Not sure who knows the answer. On the Syndicate IG, Greg said he went outside the tape and spent the rest of the run wondering if he needed to go back or not to qualify..

100% Brines. I rode a ripley a bit ago, which is similiar in geo to this and man was it a good time. I really feel that the future for me will be a bike like this and then more of an enduro bike for the weekend ride when I have the time to get into more technical descending.

I like seeing the multi-position chain-stay length. This simply makes a ton of sense for everyone. For the bike brands it's too expensive making different rear-ends for different sizes, but gives larger riders the chance extend things out back there. Hope we start seeing this more on the trail/enduro bikes.

Any word on tire width? I feel like last year he was running 2.3 or something on the narrower side like that

Agree, although I do think there could be some new sections and even possibly putting the cameras in different sections to provide us with a bit of a different feel.

Added a comment about feature The State of U.S. Downhill Racing According to Neko Mulally 3/18/2019 6:51 AM

I like Neko's thinking. Given the riders at Windrock, I wonder if there is a real opportunity for the Southern States to put together a spring series that can be a good tune-up for WC riders (simply, a lot closer from a travel perspective for Euro based teams).

With Gee's comments on rebound and Bruni's interview, are we seeing riders moving towards softer suspension settings (maybe more progression) and faster rebound? I think an early inside line podcast talked about this a bit (can't remember who). I tried this myself and the traction is awesome in the rough but you do miss a little on smoother tracks for pumping/playfullness

Added a comment about video Why Does Loic Bruni's Suspension Work So Well? 2/28/2019 12:25 PM

You have to be a great rider like Loic and have the team to setup the equipment. You can't have one or the other. The skill of both Loic and his team are what make this happen. I don't think this thinking undermines Loic's skill. He's an outstanding rider and it's that ability coupled with the rest of the team that gets this type of performance.

Best of luck next season Loic!

The sad thing is if you want to get points for the WC, it's almost more cost effective to go to Europe than flying around for this BS.
