That was one of the most exciting WCDH races I've watched in a long while. Gwin's wipeout was wild. Run after very exciting run and Peirron's run was NUTS. You could tell he was really on the hairy edge, full mach chicken, and then almost looses it right across the finish line!?! That was...more

Given that there are points on the line for Qualis I think there would be decent viewership here and worth an extra fee. I do wonder about logistics though. What is the gap between riders at qualis? I believe its pretty tight which would make filming ... more »

Agree, although I do think there could be some new sections and even possibly putting the cameras in different sections to provide us with a bit of a different feel.

For all the talk about Ft. William being too easy or too fast, 99% of those saying so would have their hands fall off after two laps. Def classic.

I also think the lighter frame and, potentially wheels, allow them to have heavier parts in other areas and stay at a weight they want. Who knows, they may also be fucking with us.

I like Neko's thinking. Given the riders at Windrock, I wonder if there is a real opportunity for the Southern States to put together a spring series that can be a good tune-up for WC riders (simply, a lot closer from a travel perspective for Euro based teams).

my thoughts exactly on soft + fast rebound. i think we asked Bryson of DVO about most common suspension set-up mistakes, and he said rebound was too slow for most riders....more

With Gee's comments on rebound and Bruni's interview, are we seeing riders moving towards softer suspension settings (maybe more progression) and faster rebound? I think an early inside line podcast talked about this a bit (can't remember who). I tried this myself and the traction is awesome in the rough but you do miss a little on smoother tracks for pumping/playfullness

You have to be a great rider like Loic and have the team to setup the equipment. You can't have one or the other. The skill of both Loic and his team are what make this happen. I don't think this thinking undermines Loic's skill. He's an outstanding rider and it's that ability coupled with the rest of the team that gets this type of performance.

Best of luck next season Loic!

does the mounting hardware lock? a couple twists with a wrench and those things could be yanked.
