Unreal. Great having WC DH back. Track looks awesome.

I'm curious if the 29ers end up helping in the wet. Tough to get faster than Danny in wet, but have to think you may get a little more grip

SO. SICK. can't wait to see the action and to see if the splits reveal any info on 29ers in sections.

Also compare this to other rich guy lifestyle sports, like golf or skiing, and it isn't so bad. It sucks, but it's pretty comparable on a year to year basis. Especially compared to riding or driving anything with a motor. If I ever hear...more

Awesome! The Pod is excellent and I've really enjoyed it.

One thing that would be a nice add, would be in the description to outline the major topics with a time stamp. Often times I don't have time to listen to the whole hour or so in one sitting. It's nice be able to block out 20 minutes here and there so you don't end up stopping mid-story. Bill Simmons does this pretty well as an example.

Keep up the good work. Great having this Pod in the lineup now!

Spomer - really enjoying the Podcast. I think I remember you mentioning you're into surfing lately. Have you checked out "The Wire" by Firewire and Chris Grow? There's some great stuff there that might give you some ideas for this industry...more

"How about on these reviews, that the average consumer [...] just wants to know if this bike fits them"

Surely a bike review that is based on whether or not a rider is the correct height for a given size of bike would be a terrible way to review any bike? I realise that you...more

I think a lot has to do with your body type. For instance, I am 6'2" with a long torso, short legs, and short arms given my height. I have been flopping between XL and L bikes and have settled in on the shorter length. The issue for me is that when the ... more »

Great dude, amazing athlete, 100% pro. That being said, I don't know how I feel about him asking for the questions ahead of time. I get where he's coming from, and he is smart in that he really cares about the image he's putting to the public.

Ironically though, its this...more

Added a comment about video Why Does Curtis Keene Prefer Coil Suspension? Vital B-Sides 2/14/2017 12:54 PM

Very interesting. I would love to know how much of the difference is noticeable to the average Joey like myself. Curtis is pushing the bike to another level (probably league) and are the differences between coil and air really a that level. While it's cool to say you run the same stuff as the pros, is this an example where what a seasoned pro experiences is just beyond the realm of the rest of us?

I really don't get why the US doesn't have a round. I know that somewhere needs to step up and make it happen, but I am also surprised that the UCI doesn't make more of an effort to encourage or make it more financially attractive for a US location. The US, or North America for that matter, is a big market and should have 1) more riders at the WC level and 2) have more fans and I don't see how that happens without the US having an East Coast and West Coast Round.

But I guess having Leogang on the schedule for the 50th time and racing Cairns is too good...

Kind of a bummer that the end of race was a little anti-climatic with Gwin just cruising. No doubt he earned it, but given Harts performance this season it's tough that the series was all but decided before the weekend.

Added reply in a thread UCI 2017 Event Schedule - Only 6 DH Races? 6/9/2016 5:40 AM

Does anyone know how much the UCI charge for hosting a WC? What some the requirements are? Or is it just a pay for the UCI delegates to come to town, put in the nicest hotel, wine/dine, and get some hookers to blow them?
