Shuttle service?? And you guys complain about EMTB's?? This place is hilarious. Just buy a bike with a motor and be done with it.
$750 for a bike that was what...$1200 new 15 years ago? I'd respectfully decline that bike for anything over $200. Besides, if you REALLY want to give your mom a great bike, make sure it has a Bosch cx motor attached to it.
I recently bought the Trek Rail 9.7. It's a 29r, carbon frame,160mm, 625wh batter, 85nm torque bosch cx. I can tell you this thing impresses me everytime I ride it. I never owned or wanted a Trek before (and I live in Wisc). But when I finally read the ... more »
Almost 29% of you guys think e-mtbs are bad? I mean, you are literally saying that they should not even exist...let alone be allowed on BLM trails. Friggin laughable in it's sheer ignorance and stupidity. Do you geniuses even realize the amount of revenue ... more »
Best mod...put a Bosch CX motor in a mtb. Worst mod? Need a chairlift to use your mountain bike.
Sounds like a very good idea. One problem though... E bikes are evil...we all know this. You can't ride a MTB unless you are unassisted. Being shuttled up a mountain on a chair lift and coasting down is not considered evil however. I'm not sure why...but ... more »
Lol...tell me about it. You should have to work for every foot you ride on a bike...feel the burn before you earn your drop. I've ridden a MTB for years and probably have more miles under my belt than most. I could have gotten back on a regular bike ... more »
Well, I don't get the entire hate e-bike deal at all. Snapped my left leg last year racing MX. Completely severed off both the tib/fib right below the knee. Two operations, a bone graft from my pelvis, two 7" plates and 40 screws later, I can finally ... more »
I rode it on turbo for like 30 seconds in the parking lot. It feels like the Hulk is pushing you as you pedal. Who thumbs down a new MTB bike???...lol. WTF??
Got a Trek Rail 9.7 last Sat from Wheel and Sprocket. Rode it Monday at John Muir here in Wisconsin. I can say without hesitation, that I am very happy with it. For those of you that have never ridden an EMTB...I was on the lowest pedal assist setting ... more »

I have heard about walk assist while looking at manuf websites. What is this? I can't find any information as to what this exactly is.................................... Forget it...I'm retarded. It's to assist you while you walk the bike.
Thanks for all the great info. I'm leaning towards the T levo for sure. One thing I don't really like is that it's a 29r. I'm more a 27.5 guy.
Couple more things/questions about e-bikes...when you pedal them while in assisted mode, are you speed limited or are you able to basically go as fast as you like? Also, when not in e-assist mode, does the bike pedal harder than a regular bike? Are you ... more »
Looked and really didn't see any threads about these bikes. I snapped my tib and fib in March. After being plated and screwed again I should be weight bearing/walking soon and will be looking to get a new bike in June. I know bits and pieces about both ... more »
