This bike will puts you exactly where you stopped. Plus 5 more years on top of that. Get a decent hardtail. It will be fun, it will go fast and you will not need to worry about components and suspension that could be additional pain to your wallet.

But I would question if it make sense to buy 5 years old bike. What is the deal? What model we talk about? With a lot of direct sales brands and more companies on the market, one can buy an amazing bike for good price these days...

I would not be surprised that it is due to fact that you can't simply put just a smaller wheel on back and that's it. Saracen created a new linkage to keep the same geo with small wheel in back, I guess same is happening for Specialized. But those are ... more »

Gears are always a lot about personal preference. You can change the ring up to 30T yourself... It sounds like you bought something that you did not think about enough / test it and now its all failure of the company. Btw you know that from time to time ... more »
