For me, this article highlights the fact that there should be a better payout to at least share a bit of the profit from the races, and those payouts should go a bit deeper in the field. Lets say you make the cut in the world cup, race in the top 20 or 25 qualifiers, and get RedBull TV coverage. You end...more

Oh, you again, hunting people, not knowing anything but thinking you already figured it out. Go ride a bike, you will do better yourself.

Flyin'...respect!

However it is sad that the bottom part is no more open.. or it is? It's good 4 years I visited this track and well, that was some serious carnage down there

Interesting. I draw parallels to other industries where an athlete partners with someone to start a brand. Thing I can't really figure out is if the volume of bikes produced through a company with a model like Robot Bikes is significant enough to float a WC race team. Yeah, yeah, speculation I know,...more

Ford has serious troubles with sale numbers in Europe so not sure if they are going to throw some fat cash into the sport. Also they basically have no car to promote on European market... we do not do trucks and with ongoing (and stupid) ban on diesel ... more »

So by your logic, unless the UCI is involved, everyone is 'roided up' and/or using electric motors? Does UCI somehow have a monopoly on drug testing and sniffing out mechanical cheating? In addition endless non-UCI events happen in my area (Colorado) and they do just...more

I’m with you on this. The “partnership” may seem like a necessary evil but we all know in the end that prize money will be lower and less venues will want to “host” EWS events because of the UCI tax...

I respect Chris Ball and all he has built with EWS. I believe most of his intentions on the partnership are positive. That said, handed the rule book over to the UCI (yes he said 'partnership' but we all know how heavy handing the UCI is) and adding more bureaucratic...more

The medium suited me well. Bikes over the 460mm reach mark are hit or miss for me. Many feel a bit like seesaws in steppy sections, so I tend to stay in the 440-460mm range.

We do have a Stumpy EVO review video in the works for the coming months.

I recently test road the S2 and S3. I’m 6’ and can say I could get along with either size. The S3 is big but I managed just fine. Loads of stability. I ride a 2018 Scott genius and compared to that the stumpy evo doesn’t climb near as well. Downhill the evo is awesome but honesty...more

I rode a size medium at 5'10" tall, and I honestly never felt as though the absence of a piggyback shock hindered the Ransom.

Would you go for L size or not? I think about 29" for a new bike and Im afraid of loosing the playfulness but even more I'm not even sure what sizing to take. I was looking at Stump EVO (any review plans?) S2 or S3 or recently on newly launched Radon Swoop 29" enduro. I prefer longer wheelbase bikes but shorter reach which seems hard to get these days (I rode L Banshee Rune with 170 fork at 1220 wheelbase). I'm just 176.5cm.

As for the shock, well that is mostly because our Fox service in Czech is extremely poor and it is the last thing you want to have on your bike. And that especially counts if its custom shock for a bike. So always good to know I can put on bike something else.

Cant find what size you tested? Also curious if possible to fit any different shock with piggy back? Amazing review anyway

Hi, I'm 186cm tall. The bike has a long reach, but low stack, so it doesn't feel "that" long.
Used to ride a Large Spe Enduro 27.5, very fun and responsive, but lack of stability at high speed (I'm between L and XL...). Now it's way better with my EVO S3, more stable, but very still good in turns (big surprise,...more

Can I ask you how tall you are? Im struggling to find the right size for me (175cm tall). Before I rode 27.5" Banshee Rune with long wheelbase due to 170mm fork (1220mm) and I loved it, but dont want to end up with too long reach.
