I can assure you it wasn’t a rushed job wrapping the rim. I scrubbed the entire gap including the inner walls with alcohol and a new toothbrush. The tape had no rolls and was very centered around the perimeter. I’ve never heard of seating the ... more »

I’ve been wanting to do the tubeless set up this week. Long story short with the old tires..lol..I ended up buying a set of Maxxis tires (Assegai/DHR2) for my DT Swiss M1900 wheels. Wrapped them nicely (one wrap) with gorilla tape and got the bead to

Well I didn’t think I’d use mine much since I’ve always ridden a Large frame at 5’9”. My seat has always been pretty low in relation to the bigger frame for that reason. But it does make a difference, even a few inches! I practiced in the park with a ... more »

Why wouldn’t they want a dropper post? Weight, money? I used to never adjust my seat so I didn’t know if I’d get a lot of use out of mine. When the option is on-the-fly at your fingertip tho, it’s really convenient. Probably gonna try some actual trails ... more »

Yessirrr, it arrived yesterday and I installed it. It ended up being $190, which wasn’t too bad. I rode around with a buddy yesterday and was surprised at how much I was using it lol

I made a similar post maybe 2 weeks ago with a $2500 budget Lol I’m kind of getting out of motocross tho and more into biking. You at Lackland? @sspomer suggested the Canyon Spectral (27.5) - I came very close to buying it, but a deal on a used Yeti ... more »

I found a KS Lev for right around $200. Potential crisis averted on the frame drilling haha thanks for all the input guys. I also came across a thread where someone did the exact same thing with the drilling, just for any curious minds out there

@mfoga, @westeegarden Interesting. I didn’t realize they made droppers that connected at the base like that. I pretty much see internals, and a few sloppy externals running up to beneath the seat. I like this idea better, but $300 is a bit steep! Are ... more »

So I’m wanting to add a dropper post to my Yeti SB95, but feel like the external droppers look sloppy. I’m considering drilling a small hole into the base of the seat tube and BB to route the cable under the bottom tube (and not interfere ... more »

No problem man, I get the appeal of the full suspension bike too. Keep your eyes open on OfferUp, Marketplace, Craigslist etc...-best of luck!

Another fellow motocrosser 😎 Honestly, if you can afford moto, then biking is a drop in the bucket. I spent probably $20k in the past 3 years in moto, and that’s nothing compared to some guys. Having just gotten back into biking as ... more »

Not gonna lie, as a fan of most things 80’s—I think those kits look pretty rad! 😂 I’m also here as a Vital Motard and those styles seem to be trending in motocross right now

The lifecycle of my t-shirts go from: wearable > sleeveless > shop rags > trash. 😂 I had a bundle of microfiber ones. I never washed them because they get oily/greasy from motocross bikes and I didn’t want that in the washing machine

This is what I ended up with. Going from a 26” hard tail to a 29 with taller forks/wider bars felt like an intimidating monster at first, but everything I tried felt way easier surprisingly. Very confidence-inspiring. I love it! I ... more »

Ahh I recognize that name, whatsup dude! 😎 Yeah man-ever since this COVID outbreak, the VitalMX threads have gotten really dry and repetitive. It seems like a smaller group on VitalMTB, but less assholes Lol I’ve really been enjoying biking again, it’s ... more »

🤔 I’m definitely going to look more into this one when I get home. The suspension has a lot of travel and is pretty lightweight at about 14.5kg. Could be the smaller tires tho. Either way, it’s worth checking out. I like the 12spd and dropper post. As ... more »

Yeah, honestly the carbon frame is the biggest draw to the Felt. I feel like that’s the bones of the bike and can be a good platform for upgrades-but it’s almost too much to upgrade the more I look at it. The biggest downer is that the travel is 100mm ... more »
